Socceroos Embarrass Uzbekistan to Advance to Asian Cup Final
6-0 is not a scoreline you would expect in a semifinal at the Asian Cup. That is what the Socceroos managed to pull off against Uzbekistan to book their spot in the AFC Asian Cup final.
Harry Kewell got the scoring started early finding the back of the net after five minutes. goals followed to Sasa Ognenovski 35th minute, David Carney 65th minute, Brett Emerton 74th minute, Carl Valeri 82 minute and the sixth goal came in the 83rd minute from Robbie Kruse.
The Socceroos will meet Japan after they defeated Korea Republic 3-0 in a penalty shootout.
