BasketballWith just over 12 seconds left to play in game two of the Chicago-Boston playoff series the teams were level on 115. Ben Gordon had just hit another shot on the way to a playoff career high 42 points. The Celtics call a Timeout!

How would the Boston Celtics handle the pressure? Another slipup and they were staring at a 0-2 start at home in their best of seven series against the Bulls.

Gear Up for the Playoffs! The big play came as Rondo took the ball before passing off to Ray Allen who ran off a screen and got off a three pointer, swish it went with just a few seconds left on the clock. The Bulls were out of time outs and could only get off a long distance heave as time expired.

So that was it, the series is now 1-1 as the teams head to Chicago for game three.

Game two went the way of the Celtics early as they burst out of the blocks. At the end of the first period it was 35-29 to the home team. In the second quarter the Bulls started firing, thanks to Brad Miller and Ben Gordon. Derrick Rose after his 36 point playoff debut had a quiet night and scored just 10.

Going down the stretch the Bulls had got to a 109-104 lead with just 3:13 to play. The Celtics could have easily folded but with Davis, Rondo and Allen scoring some key buckets the defending NBA Champions got back in the match.

This setup Ray Allen to be either the hero or villain. This time he stood up to take the win for his team.

In the other match of the day Tony Parker led the San Antonio Spurs to a comfortable home win against the Dallas Mavericks, the final score was 105-84. The series is now level at 1-1.
