If you ask basketball fans about the best ever player most will say MJ. It then comes as no surprise to see Michael Jordan elected to the class of 2009 for the basketball hall of fame. The announcement was made on Monday in Detroit, site of the men’s Final Four.

Joining Jordan in the class of 2009 were David Robinson, John Stockton, Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan and Rutgers women’s coach C. Vivian Stringer. The induction is September 10-12 in Springfield, Mass.

Jordan gave credit to his college coach Dean Smith for much of his basketball career. “There’s no way you guys would have got a chance to see Michael Jordan with Dean Smith,” he said.

Rather than write more about Michael Jordan I would love to see you comments about MJ and the others elected to the hall of fame.
