NBA Aussie Watch November 9-16

Just to recap there are four Australians on team rosters for the 2009-10 NBA season. The are David Andersen with the Houston Rockets, Andrew Bogut with the Milwaukee Bucks, Nathan Jawai with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Patrick Mills with the Portland Trail Blazers.
David Andersen playing in his first season in the NBA is currently averaging 5.8 points per game and 2.5 rebounds from his first 10 games with the Rockets. His standout game came yesterday when he scored 19 points in a 101-91 which is a career high total.
Andersen’s games during the period of 9-16 November are as follows:
Nov 10 v Dallas Mavericks Lost 103-121, 20 minutes, 13 points (career high at the time), 5 rebounds.
Nov 11 v Memphis Grizzlies Won 104-79, 7 minutes, 2 points, 0 rebounds
Nov 13 v Sacramento Kings Lost 100-109, 6 minutes, 0 points, 2 rebounds
Nov 15 v Los Angeles Lakers Won 101-91, 25 minutes, 19 points, 6 rebounds
Houston Rockets are currently 6-4. They next play Phoenix at home on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks are 5-3 after a nail biting 115-113 loss in OT at home against Dallas. Bogut is averaging 15.9 points per game

Nov 14 v Golden State Warriors Won 129-125, 33 minutes, 19 points, 11 rebounds
Nov 16 v Dallas Mavericks Lost 113-115 (OT), 39 minutes, 13 points, 6 rebounds
The Minnesota Timberwolves are struggling at 1-10. Jawai is averaging 5.8 points per game and 3.4 rebounds. Jawai’s games during the period of 9-16 November are as follows:

Nov 11 @ Portland Trail Blazers Lost 84-107, 15 minutes, 4 points, 3 rebounds

Patrick Mills is yet to play this season as he is on the injured list after he underwent surgery to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot on July 13, 2009. Patty as he prefers to be called comes from my hometown of Canberra, Australia. The Trail Blazers lost their most recent match against Atlanta Hawks to have an 8-4 record.
