Melbourne F1 Grand Prix – update
There was an eventful start at the Melbourne Formula One grand prix as Fernando Alonso was hit from the side by Jenson Button. The result was a spin by Alonso and a damaged front wing to Michael Schumacher car as he got caught up in the incident.
Schumacher was forced to change his front wing as the safety car came out. Also with all this happening Kamui Kobayashi crashed out of the race in a dramatic accident. He got caught up with Nico Hulkenberg as he speared across the track. Luckily no-one seemed to be hurt.
After several laps the safety car made way for the racing to begin.
On lap ten Petrov went off to make it five cars out early in the race. Webber pitted at this stage for some reason.
