Matthew Stafford Goes No.1 in NFL Draft

This weekend it is draft time in the NFL. The longtime losers in the NFL, Detroit Lions have put there faith in the hands of no. 1 draft pick Matthew Stafford from Georgia. Now they need some quality players to help build a team around the new quarterback.
Stafford has already signed a six-year contract, worth $72 million.
The no. 2 pick went to the St. Louis Rams, they selected Jason Smith out of Baylor. The Chiefs selected Tyson Jackson at 3, Aaron Curry was selected no. 4 by the Seahawks. No. 5 was Mark Sanchez who is a QB. He was selected by the Jets.
Rounding out the top ten is at 6 Andre Smith (Bengals), 7 Darrius Heyward-Bey (Raiders), 8 Eugene Monroe (Jaguars), 9 B.J. Raji (Packers) and 10 Michael Crabtree (49ers).
Now the wait is on for the start of the NFL season which comes in September.
