Boston and Denver fall to end unbeaten streaks

November 7, 2009

The only team in the NBA with a 0 in the win-loss columns is now the New Jersey Nets. For them it does not mean they are undefeated. Unfortunately they are yet to win a single game in the 2009-10 NBA season.

The Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets both lost on Friday night to end their season opening win streaks at 6 and 5 respectively. The Celtics dropped a game at home to the Phoenix Suns. The final score was 110-103. Jason Richardson top scored for the Suns with 34. Kevin Garnett’s 26 was not enough to keep the Celtics unbeaten.

The Denver Nuggets were on the road and took at Miami. The Heat got the better of the visitors and ran out 96-88 winners over the previously undefeated Nuggets. The Nuggets were well beaten and the scoreline was only made to look respectable following a 32-18 final quarter. Dwayne Wade top scored for Miami with 22 points. Carmello Anthony scored 30 points for the Nuggets.

The New Jersey Nets went close to getting their first win losing 94-97 away to the 76ers.
