Beijing Pollution watch - August 4
August 4, 2008
August 3 saw some of the nicest weather I have experienced in Beijing over the past few days. Today it was a return to the bad old days in Beijing. It was amazing to see the change that took place in 24 hours.
With just four days until the China Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing it is anyones guess how the skies will look on August 8. As the opening is at night it won’t make much difference to the spectacle that the world awaits.

This photo was taken early morning in Beijing. Many buildings that could be seen on previous day had dissapeared. Seeing the skies like this is a bit depressing.
I went out sightseeing and visitted the Temple of Heaven. Like my previous visits in the past the skies were gloomy and you had to wonder what the Chinese will do next to try to reduce the pollution levels.
Even with a strong breeze later in the day the skies remained the same.
